VIRGIN MARY

Real or Myth

This was the question on many people's minds this 1996 Christmas holiday. In the past few weeks, over 250,000 people visited the Virgin Mary on Highway 19 north and Drew Street in Clearwater Florida . This number is rapidly climbing. Visitors are coming from all over the world to see what many people call a vision. A lot of skeptical people call it a hoax and others call it unusual.
Well I decide to see it for myself and being a local resident it was easy. So I packed up my family and drove to the location and I must say I was astonished. There were 5,000 plus people there a week before Cristmas. It was very quiet considering the size of the crowd. There were over 500 candles lit with little notes or scriptures to the Virgin Mary. Some asked for help, others for forgiveness and others asked for world peace. A lot of people were praying. Many were crying. Hundreds of rosary beads lined the walls where the candles and messages were. I must say I was truly amazed and inspired at the sight. Once I saw Her, it didn't matter whether it was real or fake any more. I felt a total calm from within. As far as I was concerned, it served its purpose and it couldn't have been discovered at a better time. What better way to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas then to have a vision like this. It inspired me and I know a lot of people there had the same feeling. For me it was an experience I will never forget.

If you get a chance to come to Florida, be sure to go by the Virgin Mary. You won't be sorry! You'll just be amazed!
