Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park
Homosassa
Viewing the harmless, gentle Florida manatee in the wild can
be a challenge, but it is an everyday occurrence at Homosassa Springs State
Wildlife Park.
Visitors can walk underwater to view these gentle giants in
the Spring of 10,000 Fish. Wildlife displays include a
Florida black bear, bobcats, alligators and an extensive
collection of wild birds. Educational programs focus on
Florida's manatees, crocodiles and alligators. The Animal
Encounters Arena features Florida snakes and other native
wildlife. Pontoon boats provide visitors with an introductionn
to the park and Florida Park Service.
Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park is located in Homosassa
Springs, 75 miles north of Tampa on U.S. 19.
